TikTok bio for real estate agents: 80-character examples by niche, and the rules behind them

Updated 1 November 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips

A TikTok bio for a real estate agent has room for about one sentence: the area you sell, the kind of home or client, and your brokerage. The bio is capped at 80 characters including spaces, so put your name in the display name, the area and niche in the bio, and everything else behind the link.

Short answer: Formula: [area] + [niche] + [brokerage], under 80 characters, for example "Scottsdale luxury homes and golf estates | Brokered by [Brokerage]". The 80-character limit is reported by Sprout Social (TikTok's own help page did not load when we checked on 1 November 2026, so confirm in the app). Your profile counts as advertising under most state rules, so the brokerage name belongs on it. General information, not legal advice.

How long can a TikTok bio be?

"The maximum length for a TikTok bio is 80 characters, including spaces," according to Sprout Social (published November 2022). We tried to confirm this on TikTok's support site on 1 November 2026 and the page would not load, so treat 80 as the working limit and check the counter in the app's Edit profile screen. For comparison, the Instagram bio allows more, which is why a bio copied from Instagram usually gets cut off. Our realtor Instagram bio page covers that one.

Website linkBooking page or a single link page with listings

What does a real estate TikTok bio have to include?

The brokerage name, in most states, because the profile is advertising. Texas names social media in its definition of advertising media, requires the broker's name in at least half the size of the largest contact information, and lets required information sit on "the account user profile page" if it is "readily accessible by a direct link" from the post (22 TAC 535.155). NAR Standard of Practice 12-5 requires the firm name "in a reasonable and readily apparent manner" in any medium (NAR Code of Ethics).

Our cautious reading: in Texas, the profile is the place your TikTok videos point to for required information, so the profile has to carry the broker's name at the required size. A long brokerage name can eat half the bio; abbreviate only if your state and broker allow the abbreviation, and otherwise move the "area" words into the display name. Some states add license number rules on top; our realtor social media rules page covers the state detail.

TikTok bio examples for real estate agents by niche

Each example is under 80 characters including spaces (counted with the brokerage written as [Brokerage], 11 characters; a longer firm name will need a shorter line).

NicheExample bio
LuxuryScottsdale luxury homes and golf estates. Brokered by [Brokerage]
WaterfrontLake Norman waterfront homes, docks and lots. [Brokerage]
New constructionNew builds in north Dallas, explained before you sign. [Brokerage]
RelocationMoving to Charlotte? I show you the areas first. [Brokerage]
First-time buyersBuying your first home in Tampa, one step a day. [Brokerage]
CondosMiami condos: what the HOA docs say. [Brokerage]
InvestorsSmall multifamily in Columbus, numbers on screen. [Brokerage]
CanadaToronto detached homes, market notes weekly. [Brokerage]

Two things to avoid. First, words that describe the buyer instead of the home, such as "perfect for young families", which run into the Fair Housing advertising rule (24 CFR 100.75); "first-time buyers" describes a situation, not a protected class, but check your broker's view. Second, claims you cannot prove in 80 characters, like "#1 agent", which NAR's Article 12 duty to "present a true picture" in advertising makes risky.

How should a realtor use the TikTok link in bio?

Use it for one thing: booking a call, or a single page that lists your active listings and a booking button. Sprout Social reports the website link is available to business accounts with more than 1,000 followers (Sprout Social, November 2022); check your own Edit profile screen, as eligibility changes. Until you have the link, the bio can say "DM me 'tour'" and the pinned video can explain how to book.

The bio only matters once people land on the profile, and on TikTok they land there from videos. Our real estate TikTok page has 12 formats that bring them. Most agents cannot film a TikTok a day, so we cut them from what you already record: one hour of long video usually gives 12 to 20 clips, posted on your own accounts daily, 2 example clips approved first, live within 48 hours. Entry is $2,000 a month for 2 clips a day. Book a 30-minute call or see how we work with founders.

Questions people ask

What should a realtor put in their TikTok bio?

The area you sell, the type of home or client you focus on, and your brokerage name, all within the 80-character limit. Put your name in the display name and your booking page in the link.

What is the TikTok bio character limit?

Sprout Social reports 80 characters including spaces. Check the counter in TikTok's Edit profile screen, which shows the current limit.

Do realtors need their brokerage on TikTok?

In most states, yes, because a profile used to attract clients is advertising. Texas, for example, lets the required broker information sit on the profile page as long as it is reachable from each post.

How do I add a link to my TikTok bio as a realtor?

Switch to a business account and add a website in Edit profile once you are eligible; Sprout Social reports the threshold as 1,000 followers. Until then, use your pinned video and DMs.
