How to choose a clipping agency

Updated 13 October 2026 · Written by the SOVE7GN founders

Clipping agencies have multiplied fast, and they're hard to compare. Prices are structured differently, claims are hard to check, and the words mean different things. These ten questions cut through it.

Short answer: choose a clipping agency on how it checks views, who picks and approves clips, what exactly you pay for, how long you're locked in, and what you'll see each week. Ask every agency the same ten questions and compare the answers side by side, not just the headline price.

Ten questions to ask

#QuestionA good answer sounds like
1Do you post on my accounts, clipper accounts, or both?A clear answer with separate prices
2Who picks the moments?A named person or team, with your approval
3Do I approve anything before launch?Yes: example clips and rules
4How do you check views?Specific checks, by a person, with a timeframe
5What share of clips do you reject?A real number. "None" means no checking
6Am I paying for rejected views?No
7What exactly does the fee cover? An itemised list
8How long am I locked in?A clear minimum term, if any
9What do I get each week?Approved views and best clips
10Who's on the calls?Someone senior, ideally a founder

Our answers

  1. Both. Retainers post on your accounts; CPM campaigns post on clipper accounts.
  2. Our editors, with your approval of the style.
  3. Yes. 2 example clips and the rules before launch.
  4. A person checks rules, view growth, engagement, viewer location and bot flags within 24 hours.
  5. About 1 in 6.
  6. No. Rejected clips are never paid from your pool.
  7. Briefing, example clips, review, clipper payouts from your pool and weekly reporting (15% fee on CPM campaigns).
  8. Entry and Growth are month to month; Full service has a 3-month minimum.
  9. A weekly report, or a weekly strategy call on retainers.
  10. A founder is on every call.

Compare on more than price

Two quotes with the same price can buy very different things. Line them up on: clips per month, where they're posted, who reviews, what's rejected, reporting, and term. See how much a clipping agency costs.

Questions people ask

What's the most important question?

How they check views. It decides whether you're paying for real attention.

Should I pick the cheapest clipping agency?

Only if it answers the questions well. Cheap with no review often costs more per real view.

Should I sign a long contract?

Start month to month if you can, and commit longer once you've seen results.

What are the warning signs?

See clipping agency red flags.
