Clipping jobs: how to find paid work
Updated 23 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips
"Clipping jobs" covers three quite different kinds of work. Knowing which one you're after changes where you look and what you need to show.
Short answer: paid clipping work comes as (1) view-based campaigns, where you post clips on your own accounts and earn per 1,000 approved views; (2) per-clip editing gigs, where you cut clips for a creator's own accounts and get paid per clip; and (3) in-house roles at agencies or creators. Campaigns are the easiest to start; gigs and roles pay more predictably once you have a portfolio.
Three kinds of clipping job
| Type | How you're paid | What you need | Where to look |
|---|---|---|---|
| View-based campaigns | Per 1,000 approved views | Accounts with real followers | Marketplaces, Discord networks, agencies |
| Per-clip editing gigs | Per clip or batch | A portfolio of clips | Freelance sites, direct outreach |
| In-house roles | Salary or retainer | Proven results and reliability | Agencies, larger creators |
How to land campaign work
- Build one or two accounts in a niche.
- Join marketplaces and networks with funded campaigns.
- Follow briefs exactly to keep your approval rate high.
- Track what earns and focus there.
How to land editing gigs
- Build a portfolio of 10 to 20 clips in one niche.
- Show before (the long video) and after (your clip).
- Offer a free sample clip from the creator's own video.
- Be specific: "2 clips a day, captions, 24-hour turnaround."
How to land in-house roles
- Show a track record: clips, views, consistency.
- Show you can follow brand rules.
- Be reliable. Agencies hire people who never miss a day.
Red flags in clipping job posts
- Paying to apply or for "training"
- Unpaid "trials" that are really free work at scale
- Pay promises with no rate or rules
Clipping with SOVE7GN

A pitch for editing gigs
Short, specific pitches get replies. A simple template:
"Hi [name], I clip [niche] podcasts. I cut two clips from your episode with [guest] as a sample: [link]. I can deliver 2 captioned vertical clips a day with 24-hour turnaround. Happy to talk rates if these fit your style."
Why it works:
- Proof first. The sample comes from their own video.
- One clear offer. Volume, format and turnaround in one line.
- No pressure. Rates come after they've seen the work.
Send it where they actually read messages, often the email in their bio, not the comments.
