When do clippers get paid?

Updated 15 October 2026 · Written by the SOVE7GN founders

This page is for clippers waiting on money from a Whop campaign, or deciding whether a campaign's payout terms work for them. Payment happens in stages, and each stage has its own wait.

Short answer: on Whop, you're paid after your clip passes the campaign's minimum payout, gets approved by the campaign owner, and finishes earning. Earnings land in your Whop balance, and you can withdraw once you have $10 or more. Whop says standard withdrawals take up to 5 business days. From posting to money in the bank, two to three weeks is a realistic total.

The payout timeline, stage by stage

Each stage below is a separate wait. Most "where's my money" problems are a clip stuck at one of them.

A note on stage 4: Whop's public docs don't state an earning window. ClipSpeed's guide, published September 2026 and based on its reading of the Content Rewards terms, describes a 7-day earning window after approval and then a 3-day hold for CPM campaigns. Content Rewards' own FAQ says earnings are paid "on the campaign's schedule" once you clear the minimum, so check each campaign page.

A worked example

Say you post a clip on Monday, October 5, in a campaign paying $1 per 1,000 views with a $5 minimum.

  1. Monday to Tuesday: the clip passes 5,000 views and enters the review queue.
  2. Thursday: the owner approves it.
  3. Thursday plus about 10 days: the clip finishes earning and settles. By then it has 180,000 views, so $180 before fees.
  4. Fees: Content Rewards' FAQ says it takes a flat 10% of creator earnings on CPM campaigns. You get $162.
  5. Withdrawal: standard payout, up to 5 business days.

Total: roughly 2.5 to 3 weeks from posting to money in your account. An instant withdrawal can shave off most of stage 5.

Why payouts get delayed

Whop's troubleshooting page says failed payouts go back to your available balance automatically, and that a completed payout has a Trace ID you can give your bank.

Set up payouts before you need them

Content Rewards says earnings keep accruing without a payout method, but nothing can be sent until one is set up and verified. Do it on day one:

  1. Go to Dashboard, then Balances, and choose Set up Whop Payments.
  2. Select your country so payouts arrive in your local currency.
  3. Complete identity checks: your details, a bank account and ID.
  4. Add a payout method. Whop lists bank accounts, mobile wallets and crypto wallets, depending on your country.

Whop's setup guide also lets you turn on automatic withdrawals on a schedule. If Whop doesn't pay out to your country, see Whop clipping not available in your region.

How SOVE7GN pays clippers

SOVE7GN pays clippers per 1,000 approved views through Whop. Every campaign is fully funded before it opens, so the budget is there when you post. Every clip is checked by a person within 24 hours, and about 1 in 6 is rejected. Rejected clips are never paid. You can apply through our Discord. More on the model in how much clippers make.

Keep your payout records too. They're what you'll need at tax time. See do clippers pay taxes.

Questions people ask

Usually two to three weeks from posting to your bank: time to pass the minimum, owner review, an earning window, then a withdrawal of up to 5 business days.

What is the minimum withdrawal on Whop?

Whop's setup guide says you can withdraw as long as you meet the minimum withdrawal threshold of $10, where it applies.

Why is my Whop clipping payout pending?

Most often the campaign owner hasn't reviewed your clip yet, or it hasn't reached the minimum payout. Check the campaign page and its support channel.

Can I get paid instantly on Whop?

Whop offers instant payouts that arrive in minutes, but not for withdrawals flagged for compliance review. Standard payouts take up to 5 business days.

Do clippers get paid if the budget runs out?

Only for views that were credited before the budget ran out. Late-verifying views on a drained campaign may go unpaid.
