How to set up a clipping account
Updated 24 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips
Your account is your storefront as a clipper. Campaigns pay on views, and networks judge your application on it. Ten minutes of setup makes a lasting difference.
Short answer: pick one niche per account, choose a name that signals the niche, write a one-line bio about what you post, use a consistent caption and cover style, post 1 to 2 clips a day at roughly the same time, and never buy followers or views. Keep it professional enough that a network or brand would be happy to see their content on it.
Setup checklist
| Item | Do |
|---|---|
| Niche | One per account: a game, a genre, a podcast niche |
| Name | Clear about the niche; never impersonate an official account |
| Profile picture | Simple and recognisable |
| Bio | One line: what you post |
| Caption style | Same font, size and placement every time |
| Covers | Consistent look on your grid |
| Rhythm | 1 to 2 clips a day, similar times |
Naming tips
- Make the niche obvious: "[game] clips", "[genre] moments".
- Don't use a creator's exact name in a way that looks official.
- Keep it short and easy to search.
Habits that get accounts approved
- Real growth. Organic followers and steady views.
- Clean history. No copyright strikes or spammy reposts.
- Consistency. Gaps of weeks look like an abandoned account.
- Brand-safe content. Nothing a campaign wouldn't want next to its clips.
What not to do
- Buy followers, likes or views
- Mix unrelated niches on one account
- Repost other people's posts unchanged
- Use music you don't have rights to
Multiple accounts
Running a second account in another niche can make sense once the first is consistent. Quality across fewer accounts beats weak clips across many.

Personal, creator or business account?
On TikTok, the account type changes which music you can use. TikTok's Commercial Music Library help page says that on a Business Account, Add Sound shows only commercial sounds, which are cleared for brand use. That's fine for campaigns that supply their own audio. It's a problem if your niche runs on trending songs. Before you switch, think about the campaigns you want to join:
- Music campaigns usually need the official song, so make sure you can still add it.
- Talk and gaming campaigns often use the original audio, so a Business Account is fine.
- Instagram insights need a professional (creator or business) account, and campaigns often ask for view stats.
Questions people ask
Should my clipping account be personal or a brand?
A niche brand usually works better, so viewers know what they'll get.
Can I change niche later?
You can, but it's often easier to start a new account for a new niche.
Should I go private or public?
Public. Campaigns need clips that anyone can see.
Does a verified badge matter?
No. Views and consistency matter far more.
