Laser hair removal marketing ideas: 12 clips, a seasonal calendar and the word "permanent"

Updated 27 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips

The laser hair removal marketing ideas that book packages are timed to the treatment course, not to summer: a course of 6 to 8 sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart runs about 7 to 13 months, so the clips that sell "smooth by summer" have to run the autumn before. Below are 12 clip ideas, the month each one belongs in, and the one word that gets laser clinics in trouble: "permanent".

Short answer: Run "start now" clips from September to November, myth checks and skin-type explainers through winter, and aftercare and sun clips in spring and summer. Say "permanent hair reduction" only if your device's FDA clearance uses it, never "permanent hair removal". Film your clinician answering the questions patients ask; one hour of that usually gives 12 to 20 clips.

Why is autumn the season to market laser hair removal?

Because of the arithmetic of a course. Cleveland Clinic says (checked October 2026) you will likely need six to eight treatments, usually about six to eight weeks apart, and that you should avoid tanning beds and stay out of the sun as much as possible in the weeks before a session.

Our calculation from those ranges: 6 sessions with 6-week gaps is 5 gaps, or 30 weeks; 8 sessions with 8-week gaps is 7 gaps, or 56 weeks. So a full course runs about 7 to 13 months from first to last session. A patient who wants to be done by June has to start between the May and the November before, and the sun advice makes winter sessions easier to schedule than summer ones.

Clip 12 is the only one with a patient. Get written consent that covers social media before you film, and if you are a HIPAA covered entity, a signed authorization (our consent form checklist). Spread the 12 across your med spa content calendar rather than posting them in a block.

Can you call laser hair removal permanent?

Not "permanent hair removal". FDA clearances for hair removal lasers use the phrase "permanent hair reduction" and define it. One example, the clearance for the Nobleen laser system (FDA 510(k) K182663), defines permanent hair reduction as "the long-term, stable reduction in the number of hairs regrowing when measured at 6, 9, and 12 months after the completion of a treatment regime." That is reduction, not removal, and it applies to the cleared device, so check the wording on your own device's clearance before you use it.

Cleveland Clinic puts it plainly for patients: laser hair removal "isn't permanent", and some hair grows back, usually lighter and thinner. In the UK, the ASA's hair removal advice (dated 11 August 2025) records rulings against "permanent" claims for IPL devices, says efficacy varies by skin and hair type and color, warns against implying a treatment works on skin types where it will not, and notes upheld complaints about "painless" claims.

WordingOur cautious reading
"Permanent hair removal"Do not use it
"Permanent hair reduction"Only if your device's clearance says it, and explain what it means
"Long-term reduction after a full course"Safer plain-English version
"Painless"Avoid; say what patients usually feel instead
"Works on all skin types"Only if your device is cleared for them, and the UK ASA wants no implication beyond that

What else applies in the UK?

Laser and light treatments are named in the CAP cosmetic interventions guidance, so laser ads may not appear in media where 25% or more of the audience is under 18, including social media. The government's October 2026 consultation also proposes limiting some laser procedures to doctors, dentists and certain prescribing nurses, midwives and pharmacists; it does not say which, so check before you film a practitioner on a treatment the rules may restrict. Our aesthetic clinic marketing in the UK page has the full rules card.

Who turns the ideas into daily clips?

We do, from video you record. Send us a 60 to 90 minute session with your laser lead answering the 12 questions above and we cut it into about 12 to 30 clips, posted on your own accounts. You approve 2 example clips first and we go live within 48 hours; Entry is $2,000 a month for 2 clips a day. A 3-month plan on Entry or above comes with 1,000,000 views guaranteed; if we fall short, we keep posting at our own cost (Terms). Questions people ask

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Not fully. Cleveland Clinic says it is not permanent and that some hair grows back, usually lighter and thinner. FDA clearances use "permanent hair reduction", defined as a long-term, stable reduction in regrowing hairs measured up to 12 months after a course.

How many laser hair removal sessions does it take?

Cleveland Clinic says six to eight treatments, usually six to eight weeks apart. That is about 7 to 13 months from first to last session by our arithmetic.

What is a good laser hair removal social media post?

A clinician answering one real question in under a minute, with the question on screen in the first second. "When should I start if I want to be done by summer?" is the strongest one from September to November.

When is the best time to start laser hair removal?

Our reading of the sun advice and the course length is that autumn and winter starts are the easiest to schedule. Your clinician sets the actual plan.
