Med spa content calendar: four weeks of daily posts from one half-day shoot
Updated 26 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips
A med spa content calendar works when it is built from one planned shoot, not from daily scrambling: film a half day of team, room and clinician footage once a month, then give each weekday a fixed post type so the calendar fills itself. Below is the shot list, the day-by-day rhythm for four weeks, the seasonal moments to plan around, and the check every post passes before it goes up.
Short answer: shoot once a month for about four hours: two hours of your lead clinician talking, plus team intros, room walk-throughs and aftercare demos. Give each day a post type (Monday question, Tuesday team, Wednesday treatment explainer, and so on). One hour of talk usually gives 12 to 20 clips, so two hours covers a month of one clip a day, with the extra footage feeding stories. Every post passes a four-point consent and claims check first.
This page is about the calendar. For the clip map of a recorded consult session and hook lines per treatment, use our med spa reel ideas.
What do you film in the half-day shoot?
Plan the shoot as four blocks, so you leave with footage for every day of the week:
| Block | Time | What you film | Feeds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clinician talk | 2 hours | Your owner or lead injector answering 20 to 30 real front-desk questions, one at a time | Daily reels |
| Team intros | 45 minutes | Each team member: name, role, credentials, one thing patients ask them | Tuesday posts |
| Rooms and process | 45 minutes | Check-in, consult room, treatment room set-up, aftercare kit, no patients in frame | Stories, Saturday posts |
| Seasonal lines | 30 minutes | Short to-camera lines for the next month's moments: gift cards, events, booking windows | Dated posts |
Film vertical, with a clip-on mic. Anyone who is not staff in frame needs a signed authorization that covers social media, including people in the waiting room or reflected in a mirror. The patient photo consent form page lists the clauses.
What does each day of the week post?
A fixed rhythm means nobody has to decide what goes out tomorrow. This is the one we use as a starting point:
| Day | Post type | Source footage |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | A patient question, answered in under 60 seconds | Clinician talk |
| Tuesday | Meet the team | Team intros |
| Wednesday | Treatment explainer: what happens, how long, aftercare | Clinician talk |
| Thursday | Myth check | Clinician talk |
| Friday | Booking and pricing explainer, or the month's offer | Clinician talk, seasonal lines |
| Saturday | Behind the scenes: rooms, set-up, a day in the clinic | Rooms and process |
| Sunday | Repost the best clip of the week, or rest | Any |
Four weeks of that rhythm is 24 to 28 posts. Week by week, rotate the treatment on Wednesday (for example injectables, then skin, then laser, then body) so each service gets its turn every month.
If you want two posts a day, add a second clinician-talk clip each day. That is 56 clips over four weeks, which is roughly what our Entry plan posts (2 clips a day). The talk you need goes up with it: plan for three to five hours a month instead of two.
Which seasonal moments should the calendar plan around?
For which clips suit TikTok rather than Instagram, see med spa TikTok. These are calendar moments, not demand data: we have no clinic booking figures to share, so plan them against your own past bookings.
| When | Moment | What to post | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | New year | "Where to start" explainers for first-time patients | No body-image pressure in the wording |
| February | Valentine's Day | Gift cards, couples consult nights | Gift card terms stated in full |
| March to May | Before summer | Treatments that need a series of sessions or healing time, so patients book early (laser hair removal needs its push the autumn before) | No promised results by a date |
| May (March in the UK) | Mother's Day | Gift cards | Same as February |
| June to August | Weddings and events | Timing explainers: how far ahead to book before an event | No "no downtime" claims |
| September to October | Back to routine | Skin treatments that suit cooler months | Claims stay inside each device's or product's approved uses |
| November | Black Friday | The month's offer | Prices true and complete |
| December | Holidays | Gift cards, last bookings before year end | No countdown pressure |
UK clinics have extra limits on time-pressure offers and on audiences under 18; those are covered on med spa reel ideas and can you advertise Botox on Instagram.
What check does every post pass before it goes up?
Four questions, answered yes, every time. The person who schedules the post answers them, not the editor:
- Consent. Is everyone in frame either staff or covered by a signed social media authorization? If not, the post does not go up.
- Results claims. If a patient or a before and after appears, does the post avoid implying that everyone gets that result? Under the FTC Endorsement Guides, a patient's story is read as typical, so if it is not, the post must clearly say what patients generally get (16 CFR 255.2(b)). In California, a before and after must name the procedure and say that the same results may not occur for all patients (Business and Professions Code 651(b)(3)). Our med spa before and after rules page has the full list.
- Treatment words. Does the caption avoid "risk free", "painless", "permanent" and "guaranteed"?
- Offer terms. If there is a price or offer, is it complete, with the end date and any conditions in the caption?

How do you keep the calendar running every month?
- Book the shoot on the same day each month, for example the first Tuesday, before the clinic diary fills.
- Collect questions all month: the front desk writes down every question a patient asks twice. That list is next month's clinician talk.
- Review once a month: which day's posts got the most saves and booking DMs. Give that post type a second slot.
- Keep a folder of signed authorizations next to the footage, labeled by shoot date.
The usual failure is not ideas. It is the shoot getting cancelled because the clinic is busy, and then three weeks of nothing. If you would rather hand off the cutting and posting, our med spa video marketing retainer posts daily from your monthly shoot; we make 2 example clips for your approval and go live within 48 hours. Questions people ask
What should be on a med spa social media calendar?
A fixed post type for each weekday (patient question, team, treatment explainer, myth check, booking explainer, behind the scenes), the month's seasonal moments, and the date of the next shoot. Fill it from one monthly shoot rather than daily filming.
How often should a med spa post on social media?
Once a day is a realistic target if you shoot once a month. Twice a day needs roughly three to five hours of recorded clinician talk a month. Posting daily for a month beats posting three times in one week and then going quiet.
What are good med spa event ideas to post about?
Consult evenings, new treatment launches, gift card weeks around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the holidays, and open days. Film short to-camera lines for each one during your monthly shoot so the posts are ready before the date.
