Private jet Instagram captions for charter brokers and operators, and the DOT wording a broker's caption needs

Updated 31 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips

Private jet captions for a charter business are not the "living my best life" lines influencers use: they are short, factual lines that tell a client which aircraft, which route, how many seats and how to book, and for a US broker, a line saying it is a broker and who actually operates the flight. Under the DOT's Part 295 rule, a broker's ads must clearly and conspicuously say it is an air charter broker, not a direct air carrier in operational control of the aircraft, and that the flight is provided by a properly licensed carrier.

Short answer: Formula: aircraft type, the trip or the feature, one fact a client cares about (seats, range, baggage), and the booking step. Brokers add: "[Brand] is an air charter broker, not a direct air carrier. Flights are operated by FAA-certificated Part 135 operators." Never post an empty leg that is not real, a price you will not honor, or a tail number or passenger the owner has not cleared. General information, not legal advice. Checked October 2026.

Brackets are placeholders; fill them with the real aircraft and trip, and check every figure against the operator's spec sheet. Keep a short, fixed disclosure line ready to paste under every broker post.

What must a broker's caption say?

The DOT's rule for air charter brokers is 14 CFR Part 295. Section 295.23(a) requires a broker's advertising to "clearly and conspicuously state that the air charter broker is an air charter broker", that it is not a direct air carrier in operational control of aircraft, and that the service will be provided by a properly licensed carrier. Section 295.50(b) lists misrepresentations treated as unfair or deceptive, including misleading the public into believing a broker is a direct carrier, and misrepresenting "the quality or kind of service or type of aircraft", departure or arrival times, points served, or pilots' qualifications and safety record (295.50).

In caption terms:

Writes as if it operates (rewrite it)Writes as a broker (fine)
"Our fleet""Aircraft we arrange" or "operators we work with"
"Our pilots""The operator's crew"
"Fly with [Brand]""Book with [Brand]; operated by [Operator]"
"Our Gulfstream""A Gulfstream G450 operated by [Operator]"

Our cautious reading: a disclosure only in the bio is not "clearly and conspicuously" on each ad, so put the short broker line in the caption of every promotional post, and on screen when the clip itself sells a trip. Our private jet social media ideas page shows how to name the operator on screen.

What should an operator's caption say?

Operators carry the certificate, so they can say "our fleet" and "our crews" truthfully. Part 135 is the FAA rule for commuter and on-demand operations by holders of an air carrier or operating certificate (14 CFR 135.1). Our cautious reading: name the certificate holder in your profile and on promotional posts, and say nothing about safety record or crew qualifications you cannot document.

How do you post empty legs honestly?

Empty legs sell fast and change faster, which makes them the easiest post to get wrong. Post the aircraft type, route, date and seats, and say "subject to availability and operator confirmation". Our cautious reading on prices: either post a price you will honor for that leg or write "price on request"; a teaser price for a leg that does not exist, or one that is already sold, is the kind of misrepresentation of service and points served that 295.50(b) lists. Delete the post or mark it "Booked" as soon as the leg is gone.

What should never appear in a caption?

Where do the clips under these captions come from?

From one well-filmed aircraft walk-through and the founder answering client questions. Our private jet charter marketing page covers the plan, and the same approach works for yacht charter marketing, with boat-specific examples on our yacht Instagram captions page. One hour of long video usually gives us 12 to 20 clips; we caption each with your fixed broker line, send 2 example clips for your approval and go live within 48 hours. Entry is $2,000 a month for 2 clips a day. See how we work with founder-led businesses or book a 30-minute call.

Questions people ask

What is a good caption for a private jet post?

For a charter business: the aircraft type, the trip or feature, one fact a client compares (seats, range, baggage) and the booking step, plus the broker disclosure if you are a broker.

Do charter brokers have to disclose that they are brokers?

Yes, in the US. DOT rule 14 CFR 295.23(a) requires a broker's advertising to state clearly that it is an air charter broker, not a direct air carrier, and that a licensed carrier provides the flight.

Can a broker say "our jets" on Instagram?

Our cautious reading is no. Writing as if you own or operate aircraft risks misleading people into thinking you are the carrier, which Part 295 treats as an unfair or deceptive practice.

How do you advertise empty legs on Instagram?

Post the aircraft type, route, date and seats, with "subject to availability and operator confirmation", and remove or mark the post booked as soon as the leg is gone.
