Whop clipping: how it works
Updated 23 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips
"Whop clipping" is one of the most searched terms in clipping right now. It refers to clipping campaigns run through Whop's Content Rewards app, where brands and creators pay clippers for the views their clips get. Here's how it works from both sides.
Short answer: on Whop, a brand or creator creates a Content Rewards campaign, sets a rate per 1,000 views and a budget, and funds it. Clippers join, post clips on their own accounts following the campaign's requirements, and submit them. The campaign owner approves or rejects each submission, and Whop pays approved clips based on their views.
How it works for brands and creators
According to Whop's documentation (checked October 2026), a campaign owner:
- adds the Content Rewards app to their Whop
- chooses a campaign type, clipping or UGC
- sets the rate per 1,000 views and the total budget
- sets optional minimum and maximum payouts per video, and an optional flat fee
- picks the platforms that count and writes the requirements
- funds the campaign, after which it goes active
- reviews submissions and approves the ones that follow the requirements
How it works for clippers
- Find a campaign that fits your accounts and niche.
- Read the requirements: source videos, audio, tags, length.
- Post the clip on your own account and submit the link.
- If it's approved, you're paid based on the views it got, within the campaign's minimums and maximums.
We explain the earnings side in how to make money clipping on Whop.
What Whop handles and what it doesn't
| Whop handles | The campaign owner handles |
|---|---|
| Hosting the campaign | Writing the requirements |
| Funding and payouts | Reviewing every submission |
| Connecting clippers with campaigns | Checking views look real |
| Payout limits per video | Deciding what's on-brand |
That split is the main thing to understand. Whop is the marketplace and the payment rail. The judgment about which clips deserve to be paid stays with the person running the campaign.
Things to watch
- Budgets run out. When a campaign's budget is spent, it stops paying.
- Review takes time. A busy campaign can mean a lot of submissions to check.
- Fake views. Any pay-per-view system attracts some cheating. See how to spot fake views.
Whop clipping vs a managed agency
If you want the campaign run for you (brief, example clips, review and reporting), that's what a managed agency does. SOVE7GN pays its own clippers through Whop, but our team does the briefing and checks every clip within 24 hours. You fund a pool from $5,500, plus a 15% management fee.
