How to grow a fan page

Updated 10 October 2026 · Written by the SOVE7GN founders

A fan page is an account that posts clips and moments of one person, show, team or game. Done well, it can grow fast, because it posts the best moments every day. Here's how.

Short answer: pick one subject and stick to it, get permission to use the content, post 1 to 2 clips a day, open every clip on the best moment, and keep a consistent look so people recognise your posts. Grow first; think about money once the page has steady views and meets a platform's creator program rules.

1. Pick one subject

A fan page works because followers know exactly what they'll get. One artist, one streamer, one show, one team. Pages that post a bit of everything grow slowly.

2. Get permission

Clipping someone's content without permission can get posts removed and the page penalised. The safest fan pages are run by, or with permission from, the person they're about. See is clipping legal.

3. Post consistently

4. Open on the best moment

The first two seconds decide everything. Open on the punchline-adjacent moment, the drop, the big play or the best line. See short-form video hooks.

5. Mix the formats

FormatExample
MomentsThe best minute from a stream or show
ThrowbacksOld clips with a new hook
CompilationsSeveral short moments on one theme
ReactionsThe person or the crowd reacting
Behind the scenesStudio, tour, practice

6. Look recognisable

Keep caption style, fonts and covers consistent. People should know it's your page before they read the name.

7. Watch what works

Every week, look at your top clips. Which moments, hooks and lengths won? Make more of those.

Making money from a fan page

Some platforms run creator programs that pay for views once an account meets their rules. Fan pages can also earn through paid clipping campaigns. Earnings depend on the platform, the views and where viewers are.

If you're the creator

Running your own fan page, or having someone run it, is a smart way to get more volume without cluttering your main account. On our Growth plan, 2 of the 4 daily clips can go to a fan page, and if we build fan pages for you, you keep 50 to 100% of their ad revenue. See fan page management.

Questions people ask

How long does it take to grow a fan page?

It varies a lot. Consistency and the quality of the moments matter more than anything else.

Should I credit the original creator?

Yes. Credit the person and link the source where you can.

Can a fan page get banned?

Yes, for repeated copyright claims or fake engagement. Use content you have permission for, and never buy followers or views.

What should I name a fan page?

Something that makes the subject obvious, without pretending to be the official account.
