Clipping for record labels
Updated 10 October 2026 · Written by the SOVE7GN founders
Labels release a lot of music, and every release competes for the same week of attention. A clipping campaign puts the hook on many accounts at once, so the song gets heard more than once by the same people in that week.
What you get: for each release, a clipping campaign where our clippers post clips on their own accounts across 7 platforms, funded from a pool of $5,500 or more plus a 15% management fee. For artists who need their own pages run, retainers start at $2,000 a month. One brief format and one weekly report across your roster.
Why labels use clipping
- Repetition in release week. A hook usually needs more than one listen to stick.
- Clips look like normal content, so people watch rather than skip.
- Paid on approved views, not on promises.
- Every clip checked by a person. About 1 in 6 is rejected in our network and never paid.
Most of our campaigns so far have been for music.
How it works across a roster
- Release calendar. Send us upcoming releases and footage.
- One brief per release. We pick moments, make 2 example clips and write rules: which audio, which tags and credits, what's off-limits.
- Approval from you or the artist's team.
- Release week. Clippers post across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X, Snapchat, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Weekly reports per release.
What we clip from a release
We usually cut 25+ clips per release from:
| Source | What it becomes |
|---|---|
| Official audio | Hook-first clips and lyric clips |
| Music video | Visual moments |
| Studio sessions | The take, the reaction |
| Live takes | The song working in a room |

Questions people ask
Can you run several releases in the same month?
Yes. Each release gets its own pool, brief and report.
Which audio do clippers use?
The audio we agree with you before launch, usually the official audio. It's written into every clipper's rules.
Do you guarantee streams?
No. We report views and the best clips. The 1,000,000-view guarantee applies to 3-month retainer plans.
How far ahead should we book?
Campaigns can go live within 48 hours, but a week or two before release leaves time to approve example clips.
