Clipping for artist managers
Updated 10 October 2026 · Written by the SOVE7GN founders
Managers juggle releases, shows and content for several artists at once. Short-form is usually the thing that slips. We take it off your list, artist by artist, release by release.
What you get: for each artist, choose a retainer (clips on their own pages every day, from $2,000 a month) or a release campaign (our clippers post the hook across many accounts in release week, from a $5,500 pool plus 15%). One brief format, one weekly report, one team to message.
Why managers use a clipping agency
- Release week is crowded. Everything happens at once. A clipping campaign runs in parallel without needing you.
- Artists don't want to clip. They want to make music. Their pages still need to be active.
- Footage goes unused. Studio sessions, live takes and interviews pile up.
- Reach beyond fans. A new song needs people who don't follow the artist yet.
Most of our work so far is music
Most of our campaigns so far have been for music artists. We usually cut 25+ clips from a single release, from the hook, the studio sessions and the live takes.
What we need for each release
| Source | What it becomes |
|---|---|
| Official audio | Clips built around the hook |
| Studio sessions | The take, the reaction, the line being written |
| Live takes | The song working in a room |
| Interviews | The story behind a lyric |

How a release campaign runs
- You send the release and footage, ideally a week or two ahead.
- We pick the moments, make 2 example clips and write the rules: which audio, which tags and credits, what's off-limits.
- You (and the artist) approve.
- Clippers post in release week across 7 platforms. A person checks every clip within 24 hours.
- You get a weekly report.
Pricing per artist

Questions people ask
Can you handle several artists at once?
Yes. Each artist gets their own brief and rules, and you get reports per artist.
Who approves the clips, me or the artist?
Whoever you tell us. We send 2 example clips before launch and nothing goes live until they're approved.
Can clips use unreleased music?
Agree that with us before launch. We only use audio you've cleared, and it's written into the rules.
Do you report streams?
We report views and the best clips. We don't promise streams or followers.
