Clipping campaign budget calculator

Updated 10 October 2026 · Written by the SOVE7GN founders

Enter how much you want to put into a clipper pool and the rate per 1,000 views, and this works out roughly how many approved views it pays for and what the campaign costs in total with a 15% management fee.

How it works: views the pool pays for = pool ÷ rate per 1,000 views × 1,000. The management fee is 15% of the pool. Rejected clips are never paid, so the views shown are approved views only. These are estimates: the real number depends on how clips perform and how fast the pool is spent.

Choosing a rate to try

Public clipping campaigns mostly pay between $0.20 and $6 per 1,000 verified views, with most near $1, according to OpenClip's rate survey (checked August 2026). Lower rates attract fewer and less experienced clippers. Higher rates fill faster. We recommend a rate for your niche on the call.

These are what the pool can pay for at that rate, not a promise of results.

Questions people ask

Is the calculator a quote?

No. It's an estimate. Your actual rate, rules and timeline are agreed on a call.

It's the smallest pool that gives clippers enough to work with and gives you enough clips to learn from.

Does the fee change for bigger pools?

The fee is 15% of whatever you fund.
