Long-form to short-form: a system that lasts

Updated 23 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips

Most creators turn long-form into short-form in bursts: a great week of clips, then nothing for a month. The fix isn't working harder, it's having a system. Here's one that holds up.

Short answer: record with clips in mind, run a weekly pipeline (mark moments, cut, caption, schedule, review), give each step an owner, and post on a fixed rhythm of 1 to 2 clips a day. Once your own accounts are consistent, add distribution through clippers so the same clips reach people who don't follow you.

In a small team one person does several of these. That's fine, as long as each step happens every week.

How much long-form you need

One hour of talk-heavy video usually gives 12 to 20 good clips. Two hours a week covers 2 clips a day comfortably. See how many clips per video.

Scaling beyond your own accounts

Your accounts reach your followers. A clipping network puts the same moments on many other accounts at once. That's the step most creators never take, and it's where most new audience comes from.

When to hand it off

If the pipeline keeps breaking, hand it to someone whose job it is. SOVE7GN retainers run the whole pipeline on your accounts from $2,000 a month (2 clips a day, a weekly strategy call and an idea doc), and CPM campaigns add reach from a $5,500 pool plus 15%.
