Plastic surgeon social media: daily short-form clips from your consults and Q&As

Updated 25 October 2026 · Written by Reyansh Juneja and Naman Dhiman, the co-founders of SOVE7GN, who run the campaigns and review the clips

We run plastic surgeon social media from video you already record: consult explainers, recovery Q&As and talks become 2 to 4 short clips a day, posted on your own Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts. Plans start at $2,000 a month, and a 3-month plan on Entry or above comes with 1,000,000 views guaranteed in writing.

Short answer: the surgeon talks, we cut and post. You approve 2 example clips before anything goes live, and we go live within 48 hours. Before launch we agree the rules for where you practice: in Texas, testimonials need a credentials disclaimer and a compensation disclosure; in California, before and afters need matching presentation and a results statement; in the UK, surgery is never shown as easy or risk free and ads are not aimed at under-18s. Who is this for, and who should not hire us?

Board-certified plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgery practices in the US, UK and Canada where the surgeon is willing to be on camera, with 5k to 300k Instagram followers and procedures worth $2,000 or more. Patients pick a surgeon they trust, and a surgeon explaining a procedure in plain words builds that trust faster than a graphic.

It is the wrong fit if no surgeon will be on camera, if you want someone to answer DMs and comments, or if you need a guaranteed number of consults. We guarantee views, not bookings. A social media agency fits better for community management and carousels. Hair restoration surgeons should read hair transplant marketing, which maps the 18-month result timeline into clips.

What can we clip from what you already film?

What you recordClips it givesWhat the clips do
A recorded consult walk-through with a model or consenting patientWhat happens at a consult, how a plan is built, questions to askTakes the fear out of booking the first appointment
A recovery Q&AWeek-by-week recovery answers, drains, sleep, return to workGets saved and shared by people already planning surgery
A risk and safety talkComplications explained honestly, when to call the clinicShows judgment, which the UK rules also require
A conference talk or podcastOpinions on trends, techniques, what you turn downBuilds the surgeon's name beyond the city
Before and after files with signed consentResult reels with the procedure and timing labeledProof, inside the rules in our before and after guide

One hour of talk-heavy video usually gives 12 to 20 clips. Entry is about 60 clips a month (2 a day), so it needs 3 to 5 hours of recorded talk a month (60 divided by 20, and 60 divided by 12). A monthly 2-hour Q&A session plus one recorded consult usually covers it. The full clip map, with hook lines, is in plastic surgery content ideas.

Which ad rules shape a plastic surgeon's clips?

Every clip that promotes your practice is an ad, whether we post it or you do. These are the rules we agree with you before launch.

Where you practiceRuleWhat it changes in a clip
Texas22 TAC 164.3: a testimonial needs a disclaimer about the speaker's credentials and a disclosure of any compensation; models and actors must be identified; cost claims must be truthful; a "unique or exclusive skill" claim needs substantiationPatient story clips carry both disclosures. No "the only surgeon in Dallas who..." without proof.
CaliforniaB&P 651: no altered images; before and afters comparable in presentation, with the procedure named and a statement that results may not occur for all patients; fee claims beyond a standard consultation fee or a range must disclose all variablesPrice clips quote the consult fee or a range and say what moves it
Anywhere in the USFTC 16 CFR 255.2: a patient testimonial implies a typical resultPick typical outcomes, or state what most patients see
UKASA cosmetic surgery advice: surgery must never be portrayed as "safe", "easy" or "risk free"; time-limited deals such as a Black Friday price can be irresponsible; ads that exploit insecurities, such as a "MOMMY MAKEOVER" offer, are unlikely to be acceptable; no targeting under-18s (CAP rule 12.25)No countdown offers, no "quick and easy" hooks, and an age check on your audience before result clips go up
Paid boosts on Facebook and InstagramMeta health and wellness standard: cosmetic procedure ads, before and afters included, target 18+ onlySet the age floor before boosting

Canadian surgeons: your provincial college sets the advertising rules, and we follow what it requires. Checked 25 October 2026. General information, not legal advice: your practice approves every clip, and we do not certify clips as compliant.

Two real ASA cases show how short a failing line can be: a clinic's Facebook post calling breast augmentation "an easy process" (Linia Cosmetic Surgery, 4 May 2022), and an Instagram post offering "Black Friday prices on breast surgery" (Transform Hospital Group, 13 April 2022). Both were upheld, as listed on the ASA page above.

Send one recorded Q&A before the call and we will show you which clips pass where you practice. Book the call here.

What has to be signed before a patient appears?

A patient appears only after signing an authorization that covers social media. For a HIPAA-covered practice, that is a written authorization with the elements in 45 CFR 164.508; our patient photo consent form checklist lists them, and the HIPAA social media rules page covers what staff may not post or reply. Footage with no patient in frame is the simplest path: most of the clips above need only the surgeon.

How does it work, step by step?

  1. A 30-minute call. Send links to any recorded talks or Q&As first.
  2. We make 2 example clips and a one-page rules card: your state or country rules, which words are out, who approves.
  3. You approve both. Nothing goes live before that.
  4. Live within 48 hours, then 2 clips a day on Entry or 4 on Growth, on your own accounts.
  5. A weekly call to review views and plan what the surgeon records next.

What does it cost?

PlanPriceWhat you get
Entry$2,000 a month2 clips a day on your accounts, a weekly strategy call, an idea doc
Growth$4,000 a monthEverything in Entry, with 4 clips a day
Full service$5,000 to $6,000 a monthEverything in Growth, plus scripting, 2 calls a week and monthly analytics. 3-month minimum

Entry works out to about $33 a clip including posting ($2,000 divided by about 60 clips). A 3-month plan on Entry or above carries the 1,000,000-view guarantee: if you are short at the end, we keep posting at our own cost (Terms). It guarantees views, not consults. Med spas and injectors should read med spa video marketing; every niche we serve is on our founders page.

Questions people ask

What should a plastic surgeon post on social media?

The surgeon explaining things: what happens at a consult, how recovery goes week by week, what the risks are and how they are managed, and real results with signed consent. Those answer the questions patients search before they book.

Does a plastic surgeon need a social media manager?

Only if you want someone to run comments, DMs and stories every day. If the goal is reach from the surgeon's own words, an editor who clips and posts your recorded video covers the part that grows the account, and your front desk can handle replies.

Should plastic surgeons be on TikTok?

Yes for education clips such as recovery and risk explainers, as long as the audience is adult. UK practices may not target cosmetic surgery ads at under-18s, so check your audience age split on each platform.

Can plastic surgeons post before and after photos?

Yes, with signed consent, genuine and unretouched images and an honest picture of typical results. California adds a procedure label and a results statement. The details are in our med spa before and after rules.
